China's industrial value-added output expanded 6.2 percent year on year in October, slowing from a 6.6-percent growth in September, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Tuesday.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output edged up 0.5 percent from September, according to the NBS. In the January-October period, combined industrial output grew 6.7 percent year on year, flat with the first nine months of the year.
Industrial output is used to measure the activity of designated large enterprises with annual turnover of at least 20 million yuan (around 3 million U.S. dollars).
