The U.S. dollar climbed against most major currencies on Monday as economic data from the country came out overall positive.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1641 dollars from 1.1678 dollars, while the dollar bought 111.12 Japanese yen, higher than 111.07 yen in the previous session.
